Android Or Apple?

I have got into a kind of a nasty habit akin to me tinkering with pc's. Before I had stacks and stacks of pc bits. Then I stopped tinkering but I started to have a play around with phones. Most of them have been of the Samsung ilk which is android based but I also out of sheer curiosity picked up an iOS device. So now instead of pc bits i have stacks of phones instead.

So without a further ado here are some pics to try and convey some of differences although it more of a generalisation than a satement of fact.

So the first pic is my pc hardwired to the internet and speedtested. It's about 4am.



Here's my iphone via wifi.





Here's the Note 3 via Wifi as well. I ran the test three times to make sure it was reporting right.




Then I ran a quick benchy I chose 3d mark test for mobile devices. I selected the unlimited ice storm benchmark run to really run it hard.

Had Apple - was s**t. Now I have a Samsung with android - much happier!

I've mostly seen people jumping from Apple to Android and none complain but then I have got two friends that have gone 5c from android on rubbish early upgrade deals, they don't seem to notice any real difference though. maybe its just us geeks that notice the difference. Had to show my uncle around android last year but he had gone to a rubbish samsung galaxy ace, it was just app removal and widgets he couldn't get his head round he was amazed how good it was for the price.

I hate Apple I would rather buy Amstrad than Apple. Tossers.

Jumped ship from Apple to Galaxy Tab2 a while back and love it and it's half the price.

I no longer have the 5s or the s4 they were sold recently. There was going to be a 5s for sale thread but before I managed to post it up weets wanted it.

Rumi>I hate the samsung tab range. It just large versions of their phones in a large case. What makes matters worse most of the apps are just phone apps stretched on a larger screen. Also with each update they just get slower and slower. Not to mention their lineup is like their phone lineup tons of tons of models but only 1 or two worth owning.

I know what your saying redders but seeing as it mainly gets used by the wife to do her on line shopping and browsing celebs on the interweb and rarely for anything else it more than suffices and at a fraction of the cost. to be honest what does anyone do on these things that warrants the cost of an Ipad? they all play music, they all play films and they all play games so i'll be buggered if i'm gonna spend huge wedges of Wonga on something the industry programs to the lowest spec for

I personally use a kindle fire for my work stuff and that works great and is brilliant for when I go fishing over a couple of days for watching films on, browsing and the odd game. sometimes I even read a book on it and it only cost me just over a £ton

Totally agree with you Rumi. My £120 10.1' is fine and I use it for the same things as everyone I know with an ipad. Probably a tiny bit more. Although they are pretty much all let down by the same rubbish positioned speakers, front facing stereo speakers ftw. And take that back camera away too, just make the front facing one decent hd video quality.

Had an iPhone S3, very nice... at first. Then I started to have to deal with all the Apple restrictive non-sense - iTunes is just awful !

So Android for me all the way now, would never buy Apple again - please insert random hate rant against Apple's over priced tat here !
