Its their business model. Suck em in cheap, rape them for life. If you don't mind switching to Virgin you can make great savings swapping or even threatening to swap, but sometimes they will call your bluff and refuse a discount, especially if you have just come off a juicy deal. I don't know why it's so expensive when it's got so many adverts.
Well oddly I do think skys content and range of digital media are generally better than any other company so you are ganna have to pay for it ( I know what's coming soon hi hi hi ) alot of folk pay close to it for a mobile phone lol You can threaten to leave if you want an existing deal? If you do leave, wait a month the use one of my half price offers ( if I have them ) and put in different name ( partner etc ) I don't work on sales or service so I don't have much info on prices etc ( sorry )
I guess they are counting on the fact that you will be too lazy to cancel when the introductory offer expires. Money for old rope, as the saying goes!
My sister used to have the full package with movies and sports but binned movies and sports due to price. About a month later they offered her movies and sports for a tenner a month for 6 months, which she did. She's just cancelled that as it came to the end of the promotional offer. She;'s waiting to see if she gets a similar offer in a few weeks.
