So, Caspian Border feels better and not so oversized now, particularly like the tower inferno. Gulf of Oman, I just dont get a good feel for that map yet, and the dust storm just felt like levolution for the sake of it. Firestorm at the moment is just a mass attempt at doing the sniping from the tower assignment, but played well as capture the flag, and metro, whilst its nice to have a few extra routes is somehow even worse on a full server when the other team are all whoring LVG's just my initial thoughts. Anyone else got any thoughts / comments>?
Only played Metro, Firestorm and Caspian so far. I enjoyed them although Metro is just LVG spam. It's strange playing the whole maps in conquest rather than the more linear style of Rush that I was used to on the PS3. It would be nice if they extended Metro out so that you had a flag in the park as well.
If we end up doing a locker / metro map, maybe banning LVG's (if that is an option) would be a good way to go Although on other modes it probably isnt such an issue Do we know if the CTF mode is available on all maps now, or just the second assault ones, similar to bombing runs is only on China rising maps
I've done a search for CTF on the server browser and only Second Assault maps bring back any results so either it's Second Assault only, or no one is running CTF on Vanilla maps. I'm guessing it's Second Assault only though.
A good tip for the firestarter assignment, oil patches appear as dark pools on the mini-map so u can easily find them, and best to go support with incendiary grenades and grab a jeep and do them all right at the start of the round, otherwise other players do some and you cant get all 5 sorted in a round. They dont reset once lit .
I heard you can set the grass alight with the repair tool too. I don't think you need to do all five in a round.
