The renewal for the 64 player has just came in and I think it would be a waste to keep it on as it's been dead for the past 5 weeks and can't really see it picking up again.
I have to agree that this is the best decision, I myself haven't played for an extended period of time and don't really feel like playing again any time soon, I think I burnt out in the first couple of weeks so therefore I won't be able to help get the server going again.
Right decision in my opinion. There's no point pumping money into something that never gets used. The second server won't be renewed when it expires mid May. We can always rent another server in the future if there's a demand for it.
It's just not financially viable to keep it going when most of the time it is sitting empty. It had a good run of about 6 months.
Thats a shame. I think it just speaks volumes about the replayability of the game.. I only played the first month or two and got bored/ went back to TF2
Hasn't this been the case with every Battlefield game since BF2142? If I recall correctly, the BC2 server didn't last long either.
I'm still playing BF4 a couple times a week and really enjoy it. I would play every night if I could but it's difficult with a young family and an angry wife.
