Right then peeps, just spent a great deal of time trying to sort our server out (DICE don't make these things easy); BATTLELOG LINKY If I set this up with the settings required for it to be listed as "Official" then it loaded the 32 player maps, and rounds were over in 5 minutes. If I changed it then we'd lose the "Official" status and with it quick-play, so the server would be difficult to start. I've managed to work some magic, and keep it as "Official" and auto-magically load the 64 player maps. It's taken a disgraceful amount of time (it's 6AM), please make an effort to get it started. And re-started if it crashes. And please please please use the squad VOIP. So onto maps..... I've played a bit and some of em are crap. That one where there's no sound (Golmund Railway?) is an absolute shocker. I'm gonna stick a poll up with multiple choices, and I'd like you to vote for your LEAST favourite maps. I'd like to go back the the good old days with about 3 or 4 of the best maps, 2 rounds each. I doubt anyone would play beyond that in 1 sitting. If you can't remember what's what - LINK TO MAPS
Nice one Weets. Added the server to my favourites. Haven't had chance to play yet, but will be on tonight so will give my thoughts about maps then.
Is that what happened last night then? One minute were running round being called the worst squad ever and next minute the server boots us all out. i guess thats when you started tinkering then. Nice work Weets, and following you all over a map was just like old times, even if it was only for 90 minutes.
The dam map and the railway are both pants. The railway is just bad but the sound glitch on the dam is the deal breaker.
Paracel Storm can be quite entertaining, e.g. B buildings. Golmud Railway is my least favourite so far, reminds me too much of Armored Shield.
Aye mate. It wasn't until I played on another server that I realised what ours was doing, so I took the opportunity to fix while it was empty.
It's a bit late but I just noticed that Lancang Dam was missed off of the poll. Also completely forgot to vote but here my (brief) thoughts: Shanghai - love it Zavod - thought I'd hate it, but really enjoy and like it Flood zone - don't like it much Locker - love the nade/med kit/ammo box spamming, point whoring mayhem Dawnbreaker - enjoy it Hainan - only played half a round on release day but like what I saw Paracel/Golmud/Lancang/Rogue - not played
Oops Anyway, I've whacked a full rotation on there now minus the 3 least popular maps. If the dam map turns out to be crap, it's easily axed.
Can we take lancang damn off till they fix the sound bug is really lousy to play when you cant here anything
