So let's get this kicked off. While the there is only a very small number of people who use Apple based hardware and software I thought it would be nice to have a thread to discuss with other peeps what htey have, post pics, tips and tricks etc. Seeming it only Weets, Munst and I who ever really discusses this thread will probably be BFB's shortest and short lived thread! So what are people thinking of Apples latest lineup? Having just very very recently sold my Macbook Air and Google Nexus 7 (2012+2013) I find myself wanting a MBP retina and Ipad mini 2 and an Imac and I am finding it hard to resist to splash out on it.
Oh how the mighty have fallen! I hear Apple products are good for old people though so its not too surprising.
I loved the Nexus 7 2013. But since getting my note 3 I haven't touched it. Because everything the Nexus 7 does the Note 3 does and in the end I didn;t see the point of having both. Truth be told I have a feeling that the retina and ipad mini 2 would just suffer the same fate as my macbook air and nexus 7. So I rather not waste my money on it. The imac however on the other hand I truly loved. I understand people would not buy or justify one of those but I liked it for what it was and what it did. It not that i hate windows or pc's. I am not on either bandwagon for or against. It kinda like this it always imac v pc's, nvidia v amd, iOS v Android and so on. people get attached to their devices and brand and want to defend or slate it. I just don;t care either way. Either I like something or I don't. As for the Nexus 7 I rate it highly but I don;t have any real base comparison to give it weight. For example I only have owned a nexus 2012 and nexus 7 2013. There are two samsung tabs in thouse also but it just feels like a S3 in a big shell. I just don't like samsung tablets. I wish I could of kept the Nexus 7 as in t the time I had it I was blown away by it. It just I never used it once i got the phone. I liked it was slimline, portable, had a good screen, fast, decent battery life basically everything you would expect out of good tablet. But the Note 3 does that and then some it faster, better screen, more portable etc although it not really an apple for apple comparison. I mean I don't think you can complain about the Nexus 7 given the price. It abilities and usage far punches above it price point but there is still a point when it is beaten hands down if you disregard the price. weets>I would type someting witty to counteract your post but I can;t be bothered as I setting up the fingerprint reader on my 5s
Going to be honest and even though I have owned quite a few apple products this is my first time I have ever owned an iphone and I am not liking it one bit. Maybe I am too use to android but this one apple product I don't feel good at owning. Definetely not a fan of ios 7 for sure.
Oh Red! You haven't seen the light then, just burned your retinas staring at the sun. Look on the bright side, there are plenty of chumps around that will pick it up for not a lot less than you paid.
Mrs GFiSH loves her iPhone5 and iPad2 but she's not a huge fan if iOS7 either. Just a simple thing like the calendar was doing her head in so she's downloaded the Google Calendar app. I've been trying to ween her off of Apple for years, but she's stubborn. She does like the Surface RT that her old man has though, so it may not be a losing battle after all.
Ive got the new ipad with retina display, and bought both my parents a google nexus 7 for Xmas last year. Theirs are just great for them and didnt dent my wallet the way the ipad did, but for me the ipad is so much better, in terms of display speed, interface etc. plus since im already deeply integrated through the itunes and apple way with the iphone it was easy to adapt to . Although I am due a new fone now, and have been casting admiring glances at the new HTC one. Plus, every apple shop is full of "Geniuses", lol
