Ok, so in the US there is a shopping craze the Friday after thanksgiving. That is this Friday. Apple always has discounts for this biggest shopping day of the year and the official kick off for the xmas shopping season. They also apply these discounts globally to all of their apple e-shops. If you are thinking of an Apple product, it is worth checking out: http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/holiday/shopping_event * Shopping event prices are solely available on 29 November 2013, from 12:01 am to 11:59 pm GMT, are subject to change. Promotional pricing cannot be combined with any other offers. Not all sale products are available in all Apple Retail Stores. Product specifications are subject to change. Sale prices are limited to stock on hand and while supplies last.
I knew about black Friday sales but didn;t expect them to apply globally. I thought it was only a US thing. And I was like yay until I saw the bottom part of your post. I have access to student discount which I think would be more than the Black Friday discount and also have an extra 400 pounds on my apple card so I have been looking looking at a new 15 retina macbook. Also trying to make a decision on the new Mac Pro whether or not to go for it. WTH it says I am tagged? since when? I liked the donator one as I was going to photoshop some stuff onto it as that is much more comical.
I am pretty happy with my pro, wouldnt mind a haswell chip though. One of my guys has a mb air with the haswell, he gets over 10 hours of battery on it. I am thinking of buying the wife a 5c and the daughter an ipod touch.
the mb air haswell edition can last up to 12-13 hours if you are just browsing the web or something light like that. Once you start playing games or anything which requires significant grunt then it it is nowhere near what apple claims or people for that matter. I have owned and it is a very good machine providing you realise it limitations i.e the screen mostly. After using an Imac and Retina pro macbook as much as I loved the Air there was noway I could accept the screen of the Air. Also in a black friday sale what kind of discount would one typically get? Just read it going to be gift card based...
I dont know about the macbook but my buddy bought his wife one and saved almost 100 quid yesterday. I saved almost 30 quid off of the ipod touch price.
Even with the discount, it's just too expensive for me to justify. Sorry to disappoint you, DragonSVD.
I would buy one if work didnt buy it for me Honestly, MacOS is not my favorite thing in the world, like windows 7 much better. Dont like win8 either. BUT the Mac hardware is just soooo damn nice. If i was going to spend that much though, I would probably give the 14" Razer Blade a try
