OK so I ditched my TV licence a few months ago and moved to a smart TV and net content. I'm just going to share what programs and media I'm using.

    Music:
Spotify - premium account. too much music!

    TV:
Netflix - It's only worth it if you use a DNS to get the foreign content in my opinion. The American content is great and the UK is getting really good (Breaking Bad was available 6 hours after it aired in the US on the UK netflix).
Youtube - I've really got into this on the TV, scouting out videos on my phone to watch later then catching on the sofa when I have some time to enjoy them. My worth sharing subs are:
    • MKBHD - young tech reviewer, mainly phones and tablets. Quick, concise and enjoyable.
    • Big Think - science brain exercise.
    • PowerfulJRE - Joe Rogan's channel of video podcasts. Each episode could contain any combination of the following; Comedy / Science / Conspiracy + more.
    • UFC - because I like men hitting, squeezing, bending each other. (If you like UFC check out Tommy Toe Hold for funny commentary on the latest events.
I have the catch up apps on my TV, which only one deserves a mention. Demand 5 - they have some great content available BUT issues i've encountered:
    • content won't load
    • audio / video sync issues
    • "video currently unavailable" mid way through an episode
    • adverts replacing the last few minutes of a broadcast - this one is the worst it's inexcusable and it what has led me to avoiding it altogether
    Podcasts:
    • Joe Rogan - see above.
    • Bill Burr monday morning podcast - short angry ginger comedian talks about stuff he doesn't really know about.
    • StarTalk Radio with Neil DeGrasse Tyson - space talk and he normally has a witty comedy sidekick.
    • The Infinite Monkey Cage - Brian Cox and Robin Ince talk science / space with guests. contains humour, but not regularly available
    • The Young Turks - Politics.

Interested in seeing what you guys may be consuming.

Films are mainly on Netflix. If its anything new, which ever service has it cheaper or YIFY.

It's very rare I watch TV. I occasionally watch Celebrity Juice if the GF forces me, it's quite funny sometimes. I do like the Celebrity Jungle though, that I will be watching.

I have no idea what that is.

How easy is it to use the DNS for netflix? I used to have netflix but wasnt overly keen on the choices but ive been told the choices in America are far better.

Dns is really easy to use, best way is to set it in your router settings which you do once. Takes less than a minute and is just numbers in your primary and secondary Dns. Then most services will let you select which region you appear from on their Web page which you only use if you want to change region. Unblock-us is without a doubt the best Dns which is £3.50ish per month. But I'm using cactus vpn which includes Dns for £2.66 if you pay upfront. Both services give week long Dns trials.
