The price of these things is getting ridiculous now. I paid a fair bit for my out-going RAT 7 mouse and it hasn't lasted very long. The DPI button has broken, and I wouldn't mind but it's not a button that gets a lot of hammer. I expected a bit better quality for the price I paid.

    With that in mind, a new kb and mouse has just set me back £200. WTF? I'm aware such devices get used every day, and it's worth paying a bit extra for stuff that's nice, but for that amount of money I'd expect it to do my laundry. They're not exactly complex devices, so I'm aghast at how much these things cost nowadays. Anyway, currently flying through the universe in the direction of my front door are these babies;

I shall post my findings upon the device's arrival

I wouldn't get a roccat mouse purely for the failure rate on the earlier models. Not since logitech do bomb proof comfortable mice.

True. I had their first Kone mouse, and like a everyone else the wheel failed. Reading around though, they've fixed that. I overlooked that past disappointment as (when it worked) it was the nicest mouse I've ever used.

I've hated every Razor mouse I've had.

Logitech g700 is quality also and has unique advantage of 4 thumb buttons. Most other mice only have 2.

I also ended up going qpad mx85 route for keyboard with cherry red switches. Very good keyboard with nice rubber rather than plastic coating. Also decent key lighting.

I always have to get a set that matches.

Used to have a Razer Imperator, Lycosa and Vespula which I loved, but sold (I think to Weets) when I got rid of my PC a few years ago.

This time around I went for a Logitech G500s, G105 and Boogie Bug AIM B.PAD XL. I shopped around and managed to get it all for about £85.

In the last 10 years I've had three mice. Logitech MX510 (still going strong, used for repair jobs in its retirement) > Razer Copperhead (my brother quit gaming and I acquired it, using it on my second PC) > Logitech G500 (It went on sale for £25 a year or two ago).

Keyboards is three too. Started with a Saitek Gamer (a silver Eclipse with blue back lighting), It got replaced with a Microsoft Ergo 4000 (just because I loved the look of it and used it for about 8 years in total as it was so comfy) then recently got a CM Storm with Cherry RED keys as I wanted to see what the fuss was all about with mech keys. I love mech keys, but I dream of an Ergo 4000 with mech keys.

Been using the same KB and mouse for the last 6.5 years:

Merc Stealth Keyboard - I even bought a second one when they discontinued it so I have a spare when the current one breaks. The paint on the keys are starting to wear down a little, but it still works great and the key presses are as strong as the day I bought it.

Logitech G9 - I love this mouse as it fits my hand perfectly. I have thought about trying out the mamba but havent bothered to spend the money since the G9 still works:

Mouse pad is the Razer Destructor - I upgraded from my last razer pad a few years back, this one is more durable. I am guessing 3 years of daily use and still seems like new.

I almost added my mac kb, magic mouse and my pant leg as my mouse pad, but i knew it would only get Saundihater all worked up again.

Not a loaf, but a colac which is a typical Czech baked good from Grandma.

Yah one thing I like about the stealth is that is isnt very loud, I hated the dell kb they gave me at work and actually brought in my own because it was so noisy. Typing while on a conference call generated complaints!

What magic is this? Have you bootcamped Windoze onto an iMac? Is BF4 actually playable on it?

Thunderbolt display not the iMac, hooked up to a 13" Macbook Pro Retina, original iPad, and perfectly googled images being displayed :)

The company provided Macbook will however play Guildwars 2 on lower to medium settings. :)

Full Disclosure: the desk is actually my wife's, the iPad is my daughter's, the macbook air on the keyboard tray is usually plugged into the monitor. She uses the magic pad, not the magic mouse. The super drive is usually on the keyboard tray as well. All the crap usually pilled on the desk is piled on the kitchen table (not shown). The colac (sweet roll thing) was made by our rent a babicka (grandma).
