So, Im looking to get Morgan a decent programme for creating / manipulating images. Like a MS Paint on steroids. Can anyone recommend a good programme for this? Usualthings for me, like making emblems, gravatars and stuff, but for him also photoshop type stuff and general creative image production. Obviously you dont have to be an expert to spot I dont know my arse from my elbow on this subject, so if anyone has any suggestions i would be grateful.
GIMP is pretty good, it's like a free version of PhotoShop from I can tell. I use it for bits of image editing, like the BFB FaceBook page images, although I suffer from a severe lack of skills and understanding.
You could try paint.net, it's not exactly PhotoShop but it's free, lightweight, and fairly easy to get into. www.getpaint.net
Cool guys. But Im not against paying for the right programme, since it will undoubtedly get used during his GCSE and A level years as he has some IT related subjects.
I would go with gimp easy to use & free which is the best part about. Also it's free version of Photoshop
