Hello all I have always had a graphics card on the lower medium level ( currently AMD 8750 ) I thought i might dabble with a better one, so thought of R9 280x I can find this one http://www.dabs.com/products/sapphire-technology-amd-radeon-r9-280x-870mhz-3gb-pci-express-3-0-hdmi-dual-x-90MZ.html?refs=55570000-498020000&src=3 which seems a good price £226.50 do you know of any cheaper offers or better ones at same price I have one issue - i have a 650 watt power supply, and it states 750, but have heard it should be fine?
As long as its a decent power supply it should be fine. I'm rocking a 670GTX with a 450W. Looks to be a decent price. You could get a 770GTX its better in every way except BF4 but it's a hairs width between them they are both great cards.
I've got a R9 280X and am running it with a 750W Corsair Builder PSU. As long as you've not got a PC full of hard drives or running an overclock I would've thought it would be OK.
that about as low as your gonna find it considering its a brand new line that is not even out yet till next week
Wow, those prices have gone up. I've got this one (next model up from the one you've linked to) but only paid just over £250 for it back in October. Love the card, but it's a little noisy at times.
the dabs price is really low every where else i looked was 235 or more and the one you linked is avapor x version pay premium for better cooling but yea have noticed spike in mid level market on amd cards lately nvidia prices dropped slightly when they released the 280ti's be aware that card will need around 300w when under heavy load
I have an 3GB MSI Radeon R9 280X, which I am running on a system with a Corsair HX 520W PSU. No problems, had it since early December - running an i7, with SSD, and a couple of HDs. I got mine from Scan for £240, price hasn't changed - the one you're after is £252 at Scan, so looks like Dabs is a bargain.
Ace stuff, i look forward to this card arriving now :] thanks guys seems like an ace card fr the money
