It'll be interesting to see what you think of it. I was very close to ordering one of these myself, but I am so used to dual monitors that I went for a pair of Dell 30" instead.

Aye, any good? Am I going to regret buying a pair of U3011 instead of one of these?

Dont know yet, they still havent arrived in czech. I have it on order but....i didnt feel like paying 200 extra quid to get one shipped from your area to here...

I did pick-up however one of their cheap new 3d active 4k Ultra HD TVs and have to say i am impressed. its not perfect by any means, but it was for the kids room and cheap...upgraded them from a hanns 28" to the philips 40" with 3d (40PUS6809). For the price I feel I got twice the value.

So, how has the 40" 4k Philips been? I am loving my dual Dell 30" :)

same as before, but I havent had time for gaming anyways. Been working on the business, and for that I use my macbook pro and a thunderbolt display...

That must be quite a disappointment; you seemed to be quite keen on it not so long ago.

you are right, it is...my hanns.g 28" went dead too, so i am forced to use a 24". BUT since my PC has been dead a month now, not that big a deal I guess :)

Nope, had to budget myself out of the upgrade as Im launching the new company. Was being frugal :) Did manage to get the old PC fixed, SSD went dead was still under warranty, so managed to get it fixed :)

I had a windows 8 DVD, but it wouldnt load, finally downloaded a 8.1 and it worked.

Ok, worst purchase ever. How the hell do you game with a 4k monitor? It takes forever for you mouse to move across the screen or you turn up the speed and your accuracy goes out the window.

    Saundie your experience?

Even movies look bad since most are 480 or 720 for TV shows. The largest movie files arent sooooo bad.

Within Windows, I think the best option is to increase the DPI scalling. I had a 24" 4k display, so I had no choice but to run it with the DPI scaling set to 150% - anything lower was difficult to use, even with my laser-surgery enhanced vision. I didn't really game at 4k because my GTX 670 wasn't up to the task, but 1920 x 1080 looked fine on the 24" so I played games at that resolution instead.

I couldn't get on with the 24" 4k display in the end, so I sold it and replaced it with two 30" 2560*1600 displays. Granted they take up a huge amount of desk space, but they're so much nicer to use than the single 24", even though they have slightly fewer pixels between them (8,192,000 vs 8,294,400 on the 4k). I can also run two EVE Online clients without issue, which I couldn't do on the 24" as it was just too small physically.
