    what kind of build?

I am building a new setup but it not pc based. I don;t think I will be doing a build this year. With the lack of interest in any games so far and trying to purchase a car I think this year I will sit it out.

Already had this which was taken from and hooked up to my laptop:

    LG 27UL600-W 27" Class 4K UHD IPS
    1TB 970 Evo NVMe
    1TB 960 Evo
Mechanical Keyboard, Razer Deathadder & Arctis 5 headset

    So just ordered this lot:

    Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic
    Ryzen 3700x
Asus X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero
    8PACK Team Group 16gb 2x8gb DDR 3600MHz
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GAMING
    Corsair RM850x 80 Plus
    Corsair H115i RGB PLATINUM, 280mm All-In-One
    2 x Corsair ML120 Pro LED fans

Didn't plan on getting back into gaming but bought a new laptop a couple of months back and tried BF3,4 and 1 on it just out of curiosity and it ran hem fine so been playing a lot of 1 & 4.

Bought BF5 and the experience wasn't so good with that both from the laptop and game play itself but we'll see how i fare with the new setup.

Tried the MW beta and found that to be a sack of **** just no structure to the 32v32 just everyone running around like headless chickens.

There has been very little structure since BF2 and BF 2042 i have found. we live in a "in it for myself" era of gaming. they say it is multiplayer but in truth there are only very little signs of it.

Yeah I'm finding most of the time i am just going lone wolf but sometimes I'll get into a good squad who act as a squad and reap the benefits.

What are the specifications? My PC is starting to feel a bit long in the tooth, and I'm starting to get that itch to upgrade...

I might be hopping on the new rig bandwagon soon(ish), given that AMD are close to announcing their 3rd gen Threadripper processors and chipsets. They might be worth the upgrade from my Xeon system. Fingers crossed, at least!

Great news; it's still not yet time for me to upgrade the old beast!

The new PC build is in progress, but for now, I got a nice little upgrade for my server

14 cores, what do you do with your server?

    Sharing Linux ISOs via BitTorrent.

Also, I have a virtual lab set up that I use to familiarise myself with new **** before I have to deal with it at work - I hate being on the back foot when stuff comes out and I've not seen it before. I had an 8 core Xeon box but it's just not fast enough.

There's a couple of 22 core Xeons on eBay that'll fit in that motherboard, current bid on both of them is £300; pretty tempting to see if I can nab one of those, assuming they don't get a sudden influx of bids...

Gentlemen, I think someone has screwed me over here - so much for an OEM Epyc 7502:

Not sure whether I want to keep it, now that I know that it's a bloody engineering sample.

CPU-Z is a bit confused by it:
