If you are going with the 5950x I'd spend a little more and get a good motherboard.

The amount of choice is overwhelming. What made you pick the board you have MG?

It was regarded as one of the best at the time, in the top 3. Still is I think.

The one gripe I have with my board is that to get access to the top NVME slot you have to take out the GPU in order to take the cover off and the fact there is only 2 of them where some boards like the Gigabyte Aorus Master and the Taichi have 3.

The newer ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero is a beefed up version of what I have but doesn't have a chipset fan and has better VRM's. Not sure if this still has 2 NVME slots or if they have increased it to 3.

So if I was buying today it would be either my Asus Crosshair Hero VIII or the Dark Hero, Taichi or Aorus Master.

The build is coming together. I've just ordered an ASRock X570 Taichi and a Noctua NH-D14 SE-AM4. Hopefully I'll get the memory I ordered last week soon, so then it's just a case of waiting for Ryzen 5950x launch. Exciting times.

Good stuff, ordered a Fiio K5 Pro headphone dac / amp at the weekend with some Sennheisers HD560s.

Just waiting to get my 5900x and the SN850 1tb I pre ordered.

I hope I'm able to get hold of a 5950x when they launch tomorrow. Tempted to pay for Saturday delivery so I don't have to wait until next week.

Some were lucky enough to order off amazon earlier but can't find any listing.

Box and ebuyer ship late into the evening for next day delivery so I think I'll be trying them.

Also some are saying the release time could be as early as 2pm tomorrow so look about from 12 onwards.

On the Scan page for the 5950x, it says "There are 736 people viewing this product". According to wccftech the launch is at 14:00 today, so fingers crossed we'll both be able to snag the processor we want.

My estimate for the 5900x was tomorrow. Still managed to order one for Saturday delivery.

Yeah, but I am not sure what happened. It said it was in stock when I started the checkout, but on the order confirmation it says:

"The estimated date for the arrival of your parts is Monday 30th November 2020, your entire order will be shipped using your chosen delivery service shortly afterwards."

So who knows?
