I would love to get back into Battlefield, but the truth is I don't have the patience. I am a lot slower than I was during the BF2142 glory days, and even then I was barely able to keep up with the decent players. There aren't many multiplayer games I'd spend time on nowadays. Much more interested in a good single player game. I played Deus Ex: Human Revolution through a few weeks ago and it was great fun. Even better now that I have a PC powerful enough to run it at decent settings at 4K. I have a bunch of older games I never got around to playing when they first came out. Looking forward to having some spare time this Christmas to play some of them.

Set a voltage offset (-0.085v) on my 5900x as it was peaking at 1.5v playing BFV. That's brought my temps down and the voltage to 1.4 and hasn't hindered any performance.

Almost as fast in the single core benchmarks as my 5950x

That 3080 is looking to have been a really good call, MG. Had a look and the cheapest I can find one actually for sale is over £1100, which is ridiculous.

If I could get one for retail price, I would at least consider it. The 2070 Super is an excellent card, and I am grateful to you for selling it to me, but it's not quite up to 4k gaming on modern titles. That being said, I barely game these days, so maybe it's for the best that it's impossible to get hold of a 3080.

Where have you been GorkedWings19? I have been wondering about your PC hardware adventures! Did you miss out on the 3080 lottery, and decided to beat the scalpers by going for a 3090? Or did you say to yourself "screw you hippies, I'm getting an RTX Titan"?

I've still got two feet and a heartbeat, which is good enough in these unusual times. How is life treating you? Are you doing much gaming these days?

Aren't prices going up even further in the coming weeks / months due to the price of memory chips going up?

Very rough start to the year, lost my mam 2 weeks ago (not covid) then dad got took into hospital last tuesday with a chest infection then they told us he also has covid.

Mam held on in hospital to make it home and me and my sister and a boat load of carers and nurses looked after her for her final 6 days.

Me and my sister also tested postive for covid last tuesday then we found out one of our dogs has cancer.

We had played by the rules since the beginning but as soon as people started coming in covid shows up but you just never know where or who brought it into the house.

Sorry to hear this mate. That is horrible. How are you all doing now? I have been lucky to be covid free.

One of my sisters has it for the 2nd time right now and she is pregnant but seems to be just normal flu sick.

Dad sadly didn't make it so the funeral we had in place for Mam we cancelled that and re-arranged so we could bury them both together which will be on Monday.

Me and my sister got off lightly, I just felt like I had a mild cold. My other sister and brother both tested positive a week after us and so far they are doing ok.

I was hoping for good news, not a pile of more bad mate. Has it been difficult getting services and what not there? I cant imagine the strain psychologically of having to deal with all of this right now.
