I just came across this site while looking at a mini-ITX build, it seems really useful if you are planning a build and will even try and let you know where you can get the components cheapest.

At the moment it will filter out components based on the other components you have selected, e.g. if you select a mini-itx case it would remove the option of selecting a full size motherboard. It currently doesn't filter out based on the dimensions of the components so you still have to be careful (e.g. is this cpu heatsink too big for the case)!

Here's an example build that I created:

I had a look at this back in the summer when I was spec'ing up my PC. I didn't pay too much attention in the end as it often missed out some items that I wanted so couldn't get good prices. Also, I found some areas were bloated with so many products it was difficult to filter it.

I know it probably doesn't display everything but for managing a build it's quite nice as you can manually add in components that you need if they don't appear and I thought the filtering was pretty comprehensive :)

Maybe there's been an update since I last used it. I'll have another look at some point.

This could be handy for Lauren who is going to do her own build and evidence it aspart of her IT A level.

interesting site thou there prices listings don't take into account any offers currently running and in some cases are out by a fair bit also found some of the part numbers are wrong so finding specific parts can be a challenge but overall nice

That's a nice build you made, but have you considered changing RAM to 2x4Gb as it would be more than enough and would save you like 30-40pounds. Plus you would be able to pick better ones (ones with heat protectors and higher clock speeds) as it's not really in how much GB you have. Also as i am invidia person i'd recommend you to switch to GTX760Ti which is cheaper and much better in my opinion.

Oh i just noticed that you said it's an example build... Oh well. Excellent choice on case though.

Sorry but I got to say this you need to go to an external website when you have the most gorkiest ****ers lurking in the hardware section?
