Rust

So I have seen a couple of you already have this and have been looking at a few vids on line about the game.
Similar to DAYz standalone in that its a post apocalyptic survival game except that in this you spawn naked with just a rock, and have to actually craft stuff using resources as you try to survive.

Funniest so far are the penis brotherhood ones and the roving reporter, but cheap on steam at the moment and looks worth a laugh.

I bought it and will have a go at the weekend, but playing with friends is greatly rewarded, particularly for raiding and defence

Better to play as a community/group - less likely to get raided and easier to farm things, also, can raid other people easier and try and hit the other clans bases!

Although I think the durability ruined it a bit, while making it a bit more balanced, I, personally do not like the idea.

Also, it's much better than DayZ in my opinion and there it's lot more to come - lots of updates all the time comparred to DayZ where the lead designer has stepped down already...

mini why do you say the lead designer for dayz has stepped down when he is still working on the project and rust and dayz are diffrent types of games dayz is a hardcore simulation where rust at the moment is just a base building game the durability just adds for more realism and requires more effort from a group to maintain there large bases not that its hard to break into one and raid it

What is this durability of which you speak?

Firstly, I know he is still working on it, but I was just disapointed that he has already stepped down from lead designer. Secondly, I was just voicing my opinion on the durability portion on the game, and also, despite them being different games, there are a lot less bugs throughout Rust and it runs a lot smoother than DayZ

Rust = Casual
DayZ = Simulator

I prefer DayZ to Rust, mainly because the player interaction is a lot more meaningful.

I like dayz and rust there both pretty good i think

ain't played rust looks ok but more of a clan wars game whereas dayz is more tryin to hold some one up then shooting them in the leg, way more fun

Im not sure I'd agree, that rust isn't more fun, particularly if u see the videos being made.
Anyway, I am currently based on the EU Battlefield rust server if anyone wanted to come along and try it.
We have a 14 story base complete with traps, dead space, panic rooms and fortified spike walls for protection, and Myself, Babyfacedkiller, poisoned flame and kronosos are already quite well established, but always space for more.

Plus you can hold up people in rust while naked and holding only a rock, until you instaswap to the m4 and blap.

So, it seems that Jack Frags of YouTubing fame was so impressed with Rust that he and his friends have their own server for the game, inclusive of a boss Metal arena to stage team battles in.
The server is called "RUST Egg Basket" Judging by the amount of vids he does there, if you join you stand a good chance of gwetting to be on a vid. he plays as DK something.
