Spec Me Up!

The two biggest improvements you can do to your pc without a) getting a whole new setup or b) oveclocking the cpu which is more game dependant as it varies from title to title on how much it will help. These are buying a graphics card this willl help gaming no end and getting an SSD this will help speed up your setup as it doesn;t have to wait on teh hard drive to catch up and can assist with game loading times.

But if we talk about strictly about gaming then the graphics card will give the most improvement bar none. Yes I don;t doubt you will be cpu bound but let do this one step at a time.

So you bought a 1070 and it a fine card no doubt about it. And if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay? About 450 ish? What if I said I would be willing to sell you a card which is not only faster than the 1070 but is the fastest 1080 out of all the 1080? WHy am I selling? because I want to upgrade to the TItan X and I have have another 1080 as well. I also have a 980ti whihc is similar performance but it matches my setup better as it white.

I do believe I have a spare Samsung SSD somewhere it is 256gb and is the 840 evo. I remember the last time I used it I updated it to the latest firmware so you should have no probs.

As for a PC build let's see what I can do for 800 quid (which I assumed was your budget).

Msi Titanium z170 Mpower This is the second from the top of the range in the MSI z170a lineup. It is practically brand new,
2 x 8Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro Led (white) 3200 Mhz.
Seasonic x- series 1250w (it's overkill but it spare) But if you already have one then even better.
Do you need a case? I have a phanteks evolv tempered glass version that I can build it in. It currently houses my x99 pc But I will be changing to a bigger case. If not then we can skip that get to the best bits.
if we forego the power supply and the case or one of them then to keep it under your budget I would stick in a 980ti. It is the KFA 2 Hof 980 ti.

Also as I have known you a long time I would throw in a Windows 10 key which is brand new for this setup. I basically installed on this machine and that was it. I don;t think I have even played any games on it. Just fired it up to make sure it was working and that was it.
Also I throw in a nvme m.2 drive. It a Samsung sm951 128gb (you can use this as your operating system drive) and I will also throw in a Samsung 840 evo 256gb SSD as well. I will also with your permission do a fresh reinstall and setup everything for you. Also the MSI software is excellent at keeping the important drivers for your pc upto date. I really like this aspect.
