    Saw this at the weekend in 3D, very enjoyable and the 3D was very well done. It's advertised as "real 3D" meaning it was actual shot in 3D rather than tweaked afterwards in a computer.

    So a highly recomended :thumbup:

    There is an IMAX HFR, High Frame Rate, version on in certain cinemas, that could be the ultimate way to see it.

    I thought it was a real let down...
    Tweaked the story so that LOTR has some major plot holes (Gandalf must be REALLY forgetful to not understand what the ring is)
    The whole Dwarf/elf/elf love triangle.. just wierd.
