As much as I understand this is one of their bigger upgrades which involves a lot of extensive work. It says that they will only start the upload upgrade once the download upgrade is done. I'm guessing all us peasants on less than 100/120 will just have to wait a bit longer. This wave of upgrades will give them the ability to go up to 400Mbps. Although they did set their sights on having 200Mbps out by 2012 (This update) i'm guessing they will stick to what they've always done and upgrade to roughly twice the speed of BT, only doing it around BT upgrades to take the wind out of BTs marketing.

I'm guessing that is why they let the 200Mbps deadline slip. There just isn't enough demand for it - and it keeps their network strain low. just looking and this upgrade cost them £13 Billlion (private investment). Thing is i will probably move back to talktalk when my contract is up as they will have fibre in my area by then and it will be cheaper than what i'm paying with virgin.

Ok im wired in and get this, however over Wifi on my phone i get 31.05 any ideas why its so different?

I use to be on Sky BB & I won't even get 1Mb/s
I would of been better off on dial-up when I was with sky .
Still got Sky in the house that my mum & everyone else use
& I've got this to myself
