Recently (well, 2 weeks ago now) I decided to use all of the money that I had saved up from working over a year to build a new PC as the one I was using was about 3-4 years old now and was getting a bit rusty on the new games. Specs: OS : Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) *On a side note, I still hate Windows 8/8.1* CPU : Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz (Haswell) RAM : 16GB of Dual Channel DDR3 Motherboard : MSI Z97 Gaming 7 GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 (MSI) Storage : Crucial 64GB SSD Samsung 840 PRO 128GB SSD Seagate 500GB drive Western Digital (Black) 2TB I am still running 2 monitors, with my primary being the BenQ GW2250H (1920x1080 @ 60Hz) and my secondary being a small square one to be able to fit onto my mount in the corner of my room Dell E176FP (1280x1024 @ 60Hz) So it was a pretty big step up from my previous system, although it needed to be done if I wanted to play any games released next year. I can run anything on ultra right now and I can't believe the difference that there is from running games like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on low embarrassingly and BF4. All in all, was worth the 3 figure sum
Samsung SSD is for Windows, and so far, i've only put Windows Office on the Crucial one, although I may install some games on there. I did have Windows on the Crucial before but had to ghost it to the Samsung SSD as Windows updates were to big for the drive and would not install. Although I now only have 6GB left on the Samsung one so I may need to buy yet another SSD.
