The link takes me to the pricing page of Cactus VPN. On that page it says you can purchase a second subscription for 50% off, you need to open a support ticket requesting that though. It is specifically for gifting to others so I would like to use that.

I like having the ability to use the DNS servers and have a proper VPN so I look forward to using the service. I've already cancelled Unblock-us which ends in August. Is Cactus VPN similar to Unblock-us with the DNS being available to lots of devices from different locations? I plan on using the VPN for only my machines but I need to add the DNS to the home router for the rest of the house, not happy to use the ISP DNS servers.

The DNS is only UK or US but numerous devices. The VPN is from servers in US, UK and Nederlands, only one connection to each server. Torrents only available on Dutch servers. At work so will raise a ticket when I get back.

That is fair enough I suppose, makes sense if you need extra users for your household. Use the separate account option, $50 for the year is reasonable.

I don't think there is an expiry date. I can always do the 25% split as I would get that for a whole year so would work out around $6 each.

Sure. Might poke you if they don't email me within a few days; not got one yet but I suspect their response time is longer than a few hours even though they are in the middle of their day.

It is insane the difference in response times you get on the VPN. To be fair my internet when we were with IDNet rather than BT was good, got good response times and great service. Just goes to show how rubbish BT are. Encrypting my data and tunneling it allows better internet experience than not doing that, ridiculous how businesses are allowed to behave.

Just be thankful you don't have one of the American telco. I will always avoid BT, after they stole over £100 off me and then having my speed double on the same line, just by switching to talktalk.
The VPN has been great, I've seen some great speeds at work too. It's great for fixing streamed TV and YouTube 'glitches'.
