I'm still experimenting, but my results completely suck so far. I moved in with my GF and her Internet sucks. My apartment, now my office, has faster but haven't been over there yet. I mainly wanted the DNS for Netflix and Amazon Prime. vPN was only $10 more for the year, so figured I would try it.

Well, I've tried just about everything in my arsenal and it's beaten me. Reading around, the uber geeks seem to point to the home router as the bottleneck as it doesn't have the grunt to handle all that encryption. I don't get why though, since the encryption is done on the computer and the router just throws packets about. Are encrypted packets a 2 man lift or something?

You know the rules; pics or it's lies.

    Hey guys,

I am interested to use vpn service for myself. I am totally new user of vpn. Though I have little knowledge about internet. So for the first time I am going to use vpn for myself. But first I want to be more clear about vpn comparison and it's provider as well. And henceforth I found few sites while searched using keywords.

I found many of vpn service provider. Here is one of them http://www.vpncomparison.org/provider/expressvpn/

Is this helpful for me as a new user? Waiting for your comments plz.

    Thank You!

The thing to take into account with reviews of vpn services is they can become outdated pretty quickly. I'd only pay attention to the recent ones. Most vpn providers have a trial so test any you are considering.
I have been personally using cactus vpn https://billing.cactusvpn.com/aff.php?aff=534
For a few years and can't recommend them enough. They are cheap and fast, the only downsides are limited locations of servers (UK, US, NED and Romania) and they keep service logs for 48 hours (unless it's changed since I last checked).*below is from their faq

I only DNS the vpn on my second router which has my machines on. My primary router occasionally uses the DNS and more rarely the vpn. I might change my set up when I get a new gigabit router for upstairs as I've moved everything around and will be receiving a steam streaming box soon.

I use cactus too and love it.

J, the DNS on the router works pretty well. I use the VPN on my mobile devices when not home, works as a perfect combo.

CactusVPN have just released an Android app on the Google Play Store [HERE]
It's nothing major, just lets you quickly and easily connect, rather than having to do it through settings so cuts the steps down considerably.

I also readed positive review on vpntrends about this cactusvpn, i might give it a try because i been using few vpns and mostly all are blocked for netflix..

try the trial, I think netflix are blocking most vpns, so it's a case of the vpn services trying to stay one step ahead.

I left Cactus and have been really pleased with NordVPN. cost for the 2 year pre-pay makes it really affordable $70 for 2yr.

I left Cactus too. I use CyberGhost (which I really recommend) and HotspotShield which is nice and simple to use, I got it for a really good price BUT i did have issues for a short while (never with the free version though).

The best changes so often, but at $70, it is at least good for 7 months, the 17 extra months are pudding.

Who do you use for torrents these days? ever since kickass.to went down I have had to rely on pirates bay which i dont really like. in the US they now bust you if you view a torrent, whether you use it or not!

Nord is a piece of cake to install and use, all the right features too, kill app being important.

I use TPB, although not that much if i'm honest, the VPN is mainly for watching through KODI with a streaming build on top, which again I rarely use. I try to keep it to Netflix and Amazon which does a lot of what I want to watch.
